A warm message from your friendly Carleton Cognitive Science Association (CCSA):

Welcome back, CogSci undergrads! You made it! You’re at Carleton! How lovely yet overwhelming! My name is Nat and I’m privileged to be your CCSA club president for the 2025-2026 year.

Whether you are new to the program, coming back for another year, finishing your final thesis/project, or simply interested in cognitive science, the CCSA is your reliable point of contact for all Cogsci undergrad student life things. We host academic and social events, mini-programs, and even a yearly gala called Brain Ball! Open to everybody, so invite your friends! We post all our events in advance on Instagram, discord, and these awesome weekly emails - so you have time to fit us in your busy calendar!

(side note: we also design and sell cognitive science merchandise, hoodies, tote bags, you name it…stay tuned…👀)

The Cognitive Science program is a unique one. It will shape and direct you into your areas of interest, regardless of whether you stay in the program or decide to pursue something else. The CCSA is here every step of the way :) We’re happy you’re here.

Our September event lineup looks pretty juicy:

• Sept 9^th, 5-7pm: CCSA undergraduate get-together! An event for undergraduates to network and socialize, with lots of games. Come make new friends!🎉

• Sept 26^th 5-7pm: Monthly Brain Lounge 🧠 – a place to relax, chat, enjoy snacks and vibe with people. It’s a space for you. Wanna study? You can do that. Wanna bring friends and chat? You can do that too! Airport lounges are jealous of us. 😉
